Overview
Redang Mutiara Beach Resort (RMBR) is a child-born partnership between En Mohamad Bin Tengah, Mrs. Zaleha Binti Kadir and Encik Mohd Khairul Azizie Bin Mohamad. The partners are Kampung Merang’s children. RMBR was conceived by En Mohamad Bin Tengah since 1999 with only 7 units of rooms provided by the Kuala Terengganu District Office. At that time, most of the Telok Kalong Beach area was just desert and idle. Armed with 2 small boats, 10kW electric generators, and small capital RMBR continues to embark on a set of “budget” concept packs and get a favourable response from local tourists.
And now RMBR has 40 units of various categories of rooms, 4 motorboats of different sizes, an engine boat with a capacity of 26 passengers and a 68 passenger ferry. With the strength of 22 employees, RMBR is able to accommodate 130 visitors at any one time. Apart from accommodation and boat services, RMBR also offers course packages, team building, fishing trips, scuba diving and eating meals.
