<p>• <strong>Fatehpur Sikri</strong> - is the deserted ancient capital of Emperor Akbar, approximately 35km outside Agra. Built in the 16th Century, the city was abandoned 12 years later due to a scarcity of water. The entire city of red sandstone palaces and temples is virtually intact and is home to one of the world’s most magnificent gateways, the 54m high Buland Darwaza, constructed to commemorate Akbar’s victory in Gujarat.</p><p>• <strong>Taj Mahal</strong> - symbol of one man’s devotion to the woman he loved and lost. The experience of being there is magical andtruly is one of those places that lives up to the hype. Photographs simply cannot do this stunning architectural beauty any real justice.
